Ademir is "Lovesick" on Latest Single

Ademir captures the duplexity of confusion and clarity inherent in deep infatuation in his latest single, “Lovesick”, to be released on the WECB YouTube channel Sunday, February 14. Balancing lyrics of overwhelming anxiety with a consistently mellow tone of voice as he sings and raps, he conveys the endearing nature of a crush, which feels so simple yet all-consuming. Ademir's words are quintessentially adolescent. With simultaneous apprehension and confidence that rings similar to a favorite coming-of-age soundtrack, "Lovesick" transports listeners back to high school obsessions over what to wear and date rehearsals in the mirror. This nostalgia of youthful romance is only bolstered by Ademir's fusion of an uplifting, poppy melody with lo-fi electronic beats to create a sound that feels like floating on an 8-bit cloud. The laid back nature of Ademir’s sound is charming, reminiscent of early career works by Jelani Aryeh or Yeek. Mixed and produced himself, he teamed up with fellow student John Talbot, who goes by Talbeats, to create this enamoring track perfect for a Valentine’s Day with your crush.
