Ravenna Golden Keeps it Simple with “Keep on Going! Don’t Stop!”

LA singer/songwriter Ravenna Golden is back with an encouraging new track, aptly titled “Keep on Going! Don’t Stop!” featuring Lil West and produced by Golden’s longtime friend and collaborator Dylan Brady of 100 gecs fame. Comprised solely of lyrics that will without a doubt resonate with the average Gen Z member, Golden and West’s autotune-soaked vocals complement Brady’s sugary sweet production, creating a simplistic yet hard-hitting cocktail that starts and stops in under two minutes. “Sometimes I wish I don’t exist / Sometimes I can’t get out of bed / I wish that I don’t exist,” Golden croons, following up with the age-old mantra, “I keep on goin’ and I don’t stop.” Her rhythmic flow in tandem with the track’s saccharine melody in the chorus makes the track a total earworm, an unforgettable phrase that you’ll be singing to yourself into next year. Lil West’s half-rapped, half-sung style fits perfectly with the song’s feel, and creates a solid dialogue between the two of them, while Brady’s trap-infused beat provides a sturdy backbone, complete with tastefully blown out kick drums and skittering hi-hats. 

“Keep on Going! Don’t Stop!” is a straightforward track that leaves nothing to the imagination, instead filling our ears with the smooth electronic vocals of Ravenna Golden, more fully-realized here than nearly anywhere else. The confidence the track exudes tells us this is the direction she wants to be going in: simple, effective, and memorable. We can only hope she takes her own advice, keeps on going, and doesn’t stop.
