SASAMI creates a distinctly individual work that has her exploring new genres that range from metal, to classical interlude, to 70’s revival as she reckons with her full-range of emotions as a woman of color.
Maita-Keppeler confidently exclaims, “I’m still a little lost, but it’s in a different place that I’m lost.” We might all be a little lost in this world, but with MAITA on our side, we are in the best of company.
Inside the upscale City Winery’s restaurant is the Haymarket Lounge; a dimly lit venue with a cool ambience that helps the crowded room feel much more spacious. The show attracted a diverse audience, including family members of the performers, their close friends, and students from all over the Boston area showing up to support their peers.
We as consumers have the ability to stand up for the artists we love, and have many options that can help make the music industry a better place (for both artists and their fans)!

Their usual folk, pastoral sound, blends with surprising tracks guided by a synthesis of acoustic with drum pads and mainstream bass sounds. This all culminates in an album reminiscent of Fourth of July fireworks hitting suburban pavement and shooting into the sky above grass and wheat fields on the outskirts of town.
