While playing through the Blame My Ex (2023) tracks, The Beaches then brought vibrant energy and an aura of empowerment to the stage as the crowd screamed along to popular tracks like “Blame Brett,” “Shower Beer,” “Everything is Boring,” and countless others.
The issue of streaming is not black and white, it is full of gray areas.
Every song included in this project is filled to the brim with imagery and strong visual language. These six photos are meant to reflect those lyrics, or at least the general feeling of the song.
Rather than being consumed by the ever growing reality of digital distractions, as students, we have to consider if music is actually beneficial.
They embrace the ability to be eclectic and weird, also explaining on TikTok that they made the song for “witches from the south who believe in aliens” and “everyone who collected bugs when they were a kid.”

In a climate where mainstream pop music has become either corporate and soulless or too sad and self-flagellating, it’s incredibly refreshing to see someone so in their element, singing songs about drugs, gay sex, love, and partying.
